Ohhhhh, what they used to be when they weren't all digital, automatic this, new fangled that, memory card format, couldn't miss a picture if I tried kinda cameras. I pulled out my old Bronica today and shot a few reels of 220 film through it... that is the plastic stuff with the square holes down both sides for those of you who are too young to know what film is. This, in terms of music is the cassette tape of photography. And what a thrill it is to hear that shutter go clunk as it takes a picture. To actually feel the camera transmit that clunk to your hands as you are holding the camera. Memories of my past restored today shooting this beauty!
How many mega pixels is it? Just Kidding. You have a beautiful heirloom here.

Thank-you Barbara. Joking aside, I believe that a medium format camera at 6 x 6 is equal to approximately 48 Megapixels. Which is quite a stride for any of the digitals to reproduce yet. That said, admittedly, the film speed used is at 50 ASA and once loaded, there is no turning back, until the roll is shot, unless you have multiple backs loaded with multiple speed films. Not quite as easy as the digital world for photographing with, but always produces stunning pictures.

wow, nice camera I'm sure you must have gotten some superb images with that! I would love to have a medium format digital, but they are a bit on the pricey side!

Thank-you all of you. The camera I am sure after the first roll of film feel like it weighs about 100lbs, but it actually is less than a pound, and Adam, I am going to take some of the photos from the weekend and have them hi-res drum scanned at the University if I can, so I can post one up here.
